The Six Sessions

Two Strands, Woven Into One

“What God has joined together…” — Matthew 19:6

01

Session One

Becoming One Flesh

Marriage is a union, not an arrangement. Couples align on one shared definition of oneness — and see that God commands a blessing where there is unity.

Genesis 2:18–25 · Matthew 19:3–6 · Psalm 133

They Leave With

A definition of oneness they both agree on.

02

Session Two

Becoming One Through Covenant

A contract limits what you owe each other. A covenant does not. Couples see what they actually vowed, and why God is at the center of it.

Malachi 2:14 · Proverbs 2:17 · Ecclesiastes 5:4–5

They Leave With

An honest look back at where they have been living by contract.

03

Session Three

Becoming One Through Roles

Not a hierarchy — one body with different parts. Each spouse names their own God-given role and stops policing the other's.

Ephesians 5:21–33 · 1 Corinthians 12:4–7 · Romans 15:5–7

They Leave With

Freedom to let God work on their spouse.

04

Session Four

Becoming One Through Forgiveness

The session that opens closed doors. Forgiveness is an act of the will, not a feeling — and what long-held offenses cost a marriage.

Matthew 6:14–15 · Matthew 18:23–35 · Hebrews 12:15

They Leave With

Offenses released, that same weekend.

05

Session Five

Oneness Through Love & Intimacy

God's design for intimacy, the counterfeits that erode it, and healing from sexual wounds — taught with care.

1 Corinthians 13:4–7 · Colossians 3:12–14 · Song of Solomon

They Leave With

A safe foundation for talking honestly about intimacy.

06

Session Six

Oneness Through Communion

Communion means common union. The weekend closes with couples serving one another in gratitude and recommitment.

1 Corinthians 10:16–17 · 1 John 1:3 · Philippians 1:3–5

They Leave With

A practice they can repeat at home.

Other sessions available upon request.
